The University of Delaware offers an affordable choice to students seeking a private-quality education at a public price. For example, the academic year beginning fall 2009, a fulltime student who chooses to live in a standard multiple room on campus with a seven day meal package, will pay $9,456 per semester/$18,912 per year (Delaware resident) or $16,306 per semester/$32,612 per year (non-resident). Winter and Summer Session fees are additional. Please see details below on Spring 2010 tuition, room, and meal fees, which are subject to change for the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 academic year. Graduate Student Sustaining Fee - Master's Sustaining Fee is $472.00. Doctoral Sustaining Fee is $714.00. (Read more about Sustaining Status in the chapter on Academic Regulations for Graduate Students.)
Full-time tuition covers registration for 12 to 17 credits per semester for undergraduates, and 9 or more credits per semester for graduate students. All full-time undergraduate students pay the full-time tuition charge, and fees which include but are not limited to the Comprehensive Student Fee, the Student Center Fee, ad the Student Health Services Fee (see "What Other Fees Should I know About" for details). In addition to semester bills, students should be prepared to pay about $800 per year for books
