MINOR IN BIOLOGY

The requirements include any of the necessary prerequisites for the required courses. A grade of C- or better is required in all biology courses taken for the minor, and a D (not a D-) is required for all non-biology courses for the minor.

The required courses for the Minor in Biological Sciences are:
 
BISC 207 & BISC 208 Introductory Biology I & II 8
 
Two courses from: 6-8
BISC 300 Introduction to Microbiology
BISC 302 (or BISC 321) General Ecology (or Environmental Biology)
BISC 306 (or BISC 276) General Physiology (or Human Physiology)
BISC 401 Molecular Biology of the Cell
BISC 403 Genetic and Evolutionary Biology
 
Additional BISC courses at the 300 level or above to total 19 credits in biology (including BISC 207 and BISC 208). 3-5
 
CHEM 103/CHEM 104 (or CHEM 101/CHEM 102) General Chemistry I & II 8
CHEM 213/CHEM 215 (or CHEM 321) Elementary Organic Chemistry/Elementary Organic Chemistry Laboratory (or Organic Chemistry) 4
