MAJOR REQUIREMENTS
Thirteen courses (39 credits), as follows:

Ten courses in Italian:
One ITAL 2xx3
ITAL 211 or ITAL 2123
ITAL 305 or ITAL 3063
Two of: ITAL 310, ITAL 311, ITAL 3556
Two of ITAL 4xx (literature)6
One ITAL 4xx3
Two of ITAL 3xx, 4xx6

A three-credit capstone experience: Ital 4xx capstone if available, FLLT 490, or FLLT 495  (Senior thesis or equivalent fulfills the capstone requirement)3
Two courses (6 credits) at the 200-level or above, chosen with the prior approval of the advisor, from the following areas: Italian, Art History, Comparative Literature, English, Foreign Languages and Literatures, History, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, or Theatre6

NOTE: Students wishing to pursue a linguistics option in Italian Studies should consult their advisor or the Associate Chair of the department.

ELECTIVES
After required courses are completed, sufficient elective credits must be taken to meet the minimum credit requirement for the degree.
