University and College requirements.
Thirteen courses (39 credits), as follows:
Ten courses in Italian:
A three-credit capstone experience: Ital 4xx capstone if available, FLLT 490, or FLLT 495 (Senior thesis or equivalent fulfills the capstone requirement)
Two courses (6 credits) at the 200-level or above, chosen with the prior approval of the advisor, from the following areas:
Italian, Art History, Comparative Literature, English, Foreign Languages and Literatures, History, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, or Theatre
NOTE: Students wishing to pursue a linguistics option in Italian Studies should consult their advisor or the Associate Chair of the department.
After required courses are completed, sufficient elective credits must be taken to meet the minimum credit requirement for the degree.
